I can't believe I am already in the second week of school.  It has been great to get back to school and meet all of my new and returning students. We have endured the heat and have been working on projects. Photos will follow soon.  Please be patient as our art work is under construction.

Kindergarten Students:  We know our shapes.  We took yarn and made different shapes.  Students were able to make shapes on their own and with their table partners.  We made circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, and ovals.  Kindergartens were able to draw circles and created caterpillars.
First and Second Grade Students:  We are tracing a shape and then carefully drawing the shape inside the shape until the entire shape is filled.  First graders traced circles.  They are creating patterns and using contrasting colors.  Second graders cut out a star and then traced the star.  All students are creating patterns and overlapping shapes.

Third and Fourth Grade Students:  We are creating patterns using the outline of our hands.  Students traced their hands and overlapped them. Each space is filled with a different pattern.

Fifth and Sixth Grade Students:  Students are creating spinning wheels using patterns of lines.  We are experimenting with crayons and oil pastels.  Once the spinning wheels are complete, we will had a water color wash.

Seventh and Eighth Grade Students:  Students are working in small groups to create big puzzles.  We are working together to create puzzle pieces showing different patterns and then putting them together to create a big puzzle.
